Karl Longstreth selects materials and provides bibliographic assistance for the Map Library, and also for environmental studies, geography and urban history in the Graduate Library. Karl's emphasis is in history, the sciences, Eurasian materials (from the Mediterranean to East Asia) and in the use of geographic information systems in the sciences and humanities. Karl also provides help with mapping, analysis and finding spatial data in the SAND-North lab.
Tim Utter received a Bachelor of General Studies from the
University of Michigan in 1988. His focus of study was geography,
supplemented by anthropology and English. He received a Master of Library
and Information Science degree at Wayne State University in December,
2009. Tim is a selector for geographic and cartographic materials,
and provides reference and instructional assistance for maps, the
history of cartography, and geography. He also supervises the Clark Library
student assistants.
